  • National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is one of the most high profile national level scholarship programs. The NTSE scholarship is an achievement which is given on good scores and grades. The word of scholarship sounds amazing when someone uses it. So anybody who gets a NTSE scholarship it is the big achievement for him.
  • The Exam of NTSE which is a knowledge base exam has lot of benefits for students, especially in future. The NTSE exam is talent base exam which knows about the strength and weaknesses of every individual.
  • NTSE exam is the National level scholarship program by Govt. of India and most valuable exam of India. It is not only about scholarship but a matter of great pride and honour for every student to be recognised as the nation’s talent. Candidates can easily achieve their goals by getting NTSE scholarship.
  • NTSE exams structures and shapes the future of the students as well.
  • Its aim is to identify talented and sophisticated individuals and to help them.
  • The Central government awards scholarships to NTSE scholars for pursuing studies in sciences and social sciences up till doctoral level. In case of a professional course like engineering or medicine, the scholarship is granted up to postgraduate level.
  • This exam is conducted by National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) for 10 th standard students.
  • NTSE (National Talent Search Examination)is a National Level Examination conducted to provide the scholarship to the deserving candidates.
  • This exam is providing NTSE scholarships for those students who have skilful mental intelligence and got good grades in this exam. Students with good spirit and confidence can secure their seats for NTSE exam in future and pass out this competitive exam. NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) exam is for secondary school level to identify and recognize students with high knowledge profile base and skills.
  • The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is one of the most competitive exams in India. Every year around 1,200,000 to 1,400,000 students appear for the examination, from these 1,20,000 to 1,40,000 only 5000 students are selected for stage 2.
  • Now from out of these 5000 students only 1000 candidates are selected who gets the opportunity to gain the NTSE scholarship.
The examination of NTSE is conducted every year at 2 levels:
  • Stage 1 (State level) and Stage 2 (National level). NTSE scholarship is awarded to the selected students through the different stages according to their education.
  • Apart from the monetary benefits of being an NTSE scholar, there are additional advantages as well. Below are all other details of the NTSE examination that you need to know.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NTSE

  • Candidates must be an Indian national.
  • Candidates must be studying in class 10 in a recognized private or government school in India.
  • Candidates less than age of 18 and studying in class 10 from open or distance learning are also eligible to apply for the NTSE scholarship.
  • States may set some criteria to lay down some more conditions such as minimum qualifying marks in previous class, age limit etc.
  • Candidates currently studying in 10th standard can apply for the NTSE.
  • There is no domicile restriction for the NTSE examination.
  • The stage 1 of the NTSE examination is conducted by different states, that depends upon the location of your school, you can apply for the examination.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process of NTSE has two stages: Stage 1 and 2.
  • Stage 1 is conducted by the State and stage 2 is conducted by the NCERT. Only the students qualifying stage 1 are eligible for stage 2 and the students qualifying stage 2 would be awarded the NTSE scholarship.
  • The qualifying marks for a general category candidate are 40% and for SC/ST/PH candidate is 35%.
  • Language Test: It is qualifying in nature and the marks obtained for the language test will not be counted for the final selection.
  • The syllabus is comprised of topics from class 11th & 12th subjects.
